  • A detailed edit that elevates your writing’s flow, precision, and impact.

    This type of editing is a line-by-line revision and is more thorough than copyediting or proofreading. It is sometimes referred to as "stylistic editing" and will have an emphasis on language and structure to ensure readability and clarity. This type of editing will help refine word choice and sentence structure while also cleaning up any technical elements. Line editing typically comes before copyediting.

    $0.03-$0.05 per word

  • A detailed polish that eliminates errors, tightens clarity, and ensures your writing is accurate and consistent.

    This type of editing falls somewhere between line editing and proofreading. The focus is on ensuring the document is free of technical errors or inconsistencies and reads smoothly. Copyediting has more emphasis on grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting than line editing.

    $0.02-$0.04 per word

  • The final polish that ensures your document is clean, accurate, and ready to publish.

    The type of editing is for catching any remaining errors that may have been missed in previous levels of the editing process or were introduced in the typesetting/design process. In addition to checking for missed technical errors, proofreading might also include checking the correctness of the page numbers, index, text alignment, and paragraphing. This type of editing should occur right before the writing is to be published.

    $0.01-$0.03 per word

After a free sample edit, I’ll send over a cost-estimate and detailed proposal.

Finishing Strong

You will receive a Word document with Track Changes and comments which you can choose to accept or reject. Also included is a style sheet and a clean copy.
